About the wine:
A juicy and refreshing second vintage of guest favourite Tadem. Fresh and fruity nose of white peach, pineapple, Meyer lemon, and cantaloupe. Slightly drier than our previous vintage but still a juicy wine for the patio. The palate reflects nose with more juicy peach, pineapple, and lemon meringue. A very round mouthfeel with mouth-watering acidity.
Pair this very versatile wine with a variety of foods including seafood like spot Prawns, scallops, lobster. Really any seafood with butter and a touch of lemon. For something more casual think turkey and brie sandwiches. On the Chain Reaction patio, pair it with our popular Heritage or our seasonal Sweet Cheeks (peach) pizzas.
About the label:
Given this wine is a blend of Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, we felt Tandem was the perfect name since it also incorporates our cycling theme. Joel & Linda have never ridden a tandem bicycle before, but if we did, this is exactly how it would look with Joel doing all the work!
Winemaking
Our second release of the popular Tandem, our premium white blend wine. It was created by blending an ideal amount of the 2025 Gewurztraminer and 2025 Pinot Gris from OPG Vineyard (before it was blended with McMillan Pinot Gris). As we don’t "hard press" our grapes, only first-rate wine was used for this blend. Several bench trials of various ratios were conducted until we settled on roughly a 70% Pinot Gris- 30% Gewurztraminer blend.
