About the wine:
Our long awaited first vintage of Cabernet Franc from the Chain Reaction vineyard planted in 2019. Only 56 cases total production for this unique Cabernet Franc. Immediately, you are greeted by a bright and intensely fruity nose of blueberry, Tayberry (think cross between blueberry and raspberry), black pepper, and subtle dry herbs. 24 months of French oak has resulted in moderate tannins that are not dominating. Palate mirrors the aromas with big juicy fruit up front and a lengthly finish. Patience will be a virtue with this wine and we think it will evolve beautifully in the cellar for 7-10 years.
Pair this rich red with the grilled meats, as well as pork, lamb, beef stews. This Cab Franc would also be a lovely accompaniment to roasted eggplant and mushrooms (especially portobello). Pasta dishes with sausage, tomato sauce, or hearty vegetable fillings. Or have a glass after dinner with a bar of nice dark chocolate.
