About the wine:
This robust New-World style Pinot Noir has alluring aromas of stewed plum, cassis, soft violet and forest floor. With some air enticing caramel notes develop. The palate is complex and mirrors the nose with some added notes of red cherry, cranberry, dried thyme and a touch of subtle leather. Moderate but well integrated tannins that get more silky with decanting. Aged 10 months in a large format French oak puncheons as well as oak barrels, this is one that will age very gracefully in the cellar and is just at the beginning of its journey. For bolder red wine drinkers, this may be a Pinot Noir for you! Only 223 cases produced.
This Pinot is bolder and could be paired with some stronger flavours such as steak with peppercorns, wild game, venison, duck, mushroom dishes.. Also a lovely pairing with charcuterie; try including some smoked meats, goudas, goat cheese, and milder blue cheeses.
