About the wine:
A expressive and aromatic nose of peach, granny smith apple, orange pith and fresh citrus notes. Followed by a crisp palate of white peach, calamansi, baked granny smith apple with texture and a well-balanced acidity. Another versatile vintage that works well on its own or with a variety of foods including seafood, fish and chips, seafood chowder.
On the Chain Reaction patio, pair it with our popular Heritage, Fungi, Burrata, and Sweet Cheeks (peach) pizzas.

About the label:
A fresh updated version of the original label that we did in 2019 featuring Joel and a few of his friends cycling down Eastside Rd, where it's common to get a Tailwind heading out of town... which just means you'll get the nasty Headwind coming back into town!
Winemaking:
Our Pinot Gris grapes are grown by our partner OPG vineyard in Kaleden.
- The grapes were harvested by hand
- Gently whole cluster pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks.
- The juice was chilled and after settling for 48 hours, racked from solids.
- The clear juice was inoculated with a selected yeast strain and the fermentation was kept cool (12-16°C), lasting 3 weeks. At the ideal sugar / acid balance, the fermentation was halted by chilling and held in stainless steel tanks
- The wine was then aged on lees for 2 months
- Once stabilized, the wine was crossflow filtered before bottling.
